The monkey god of Thailand is originally the Dharma protector God hanouman in Indian mythology. It is said that it can be invisible so that the enemy can not see itself. It symbolizes knowledge, vitality, honesty, selflessness, modesty and loyalty. The monkey king in journey to the west is based on it. These statues mainly appear in the base part of the pagoda.
